Technical Tidbits 11/27: Georgia Tech Basketball Hosts Mercer

Hopefully Wednesday night (and Thursday morning) was just a one-off.

NCAA Basketball: Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

After a heartbreaking (and record-breaking) loss to Georgia State Wednesday night, the Tech Basketball team has a quick turnaround. The Jackets will face off against the Mercer Bears tonight, the game starts at 8 p.m. ET and will be televised on a RSN. Last season, the Bears finished at 17-15, but return two top guards. This could be a tough game for the Jackets, especially after the late night Wednesday and the holiday yesterday. F Moses Wright will look to build off of his huge performance, and G Jose Alvarado will be attempting to shoot better than he did against the Panthers.

Isn’t this a good sight to see? After a long COVID-19-induced layoff, the Georgia Tech Football team will be back in action tomorrow night against the Duke Blue Devils (7 p.m. ET, RSN). It doesn’t look like key contributor WR Ahmarean Brown is on the chart, which really throws his status into doubt for the rest of the season after missing the Notre Dame game on Halloween. Many betting houses are rating the contest as a tossup, so it should be an interesting one under the lights at Bobby Dodd!

I hope that each and every one of y’all had a safe, healthy, and happy Thanksgiving. It’s been a strange year, but I’m thankful for each and every reader, and for all of the members of the FTRS staff.

It looks like the Tech Football team had a great Thanksgiving! Even though it’s not hate week, let’s hope they bring the same energy they would against the dwags to the Blue Devils tomorrow!

Question of the Day: How was your Thanksgiving?
