Of course, you have heard of the news by now regarding Tech’s last basketball game. Over the weekend, Tech defeated UNC 96-83. This was an impressive win by the Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team for several reasons. Here are a few key points from the article:
- The Yellow Jackets started the game quickly with a 27-4 lead
- Tech has won three of the last five since Jose Alvarado’s return
- The Yellow Jackets shot 59% on the night
Alvardao had a terrific game as did Moses Wright. The Yellow Jackets are now 7-7 overall and 2-2 in the ACC. Let’s hope this win can give them some momentum. They’ve got a big game ahead of them. They are hosting the #2 ranked Duke Blue Devils on Wednesday. Tip-off is set for 9:00 PM. #GoJackets.

Love this celebration! #GoJackets
Despite four Yellow Jackets finishing in double figures, the women’s basketball team lost to Wake Forest yesterday 65-60. Despite trailing at half time, the Yellow Jackets did manage to get the lead in the second half after a quick start. It was poor shooting though that likely cost them the game. They shot only 39.3 percent from the field and 75.0 percent from the free-throw line. On Thursday, the Yellow Jackets will be on the road to face off against 8th ranked FSU. Tip-off from Tallahassee is set for 7:00 PM and the game will be on ACC Network Extra.

Well, for those of you who are keeping count, there’s fewer than 40 days left until the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets baseball season starts. We’re barely into winter and I myself would love nothing more than for spring to be here.
