Technical Tidbits 1/29: Jackets Tame Tigers 82-54

Georgia Tech wins big against Morehouse.

This is the kind of result you’d hope for. The Georgia Tech men’s basketball team hosted Morehouse last night and it was a blowout. The final score was 82-54. Tech will be on the road for its next game which will be against Notre Dame. With the win, the Yellow Jackets have now won two in a row.

The men’s basketball team will continue its ACC play this Saturday against Notre Dame. Here’s a nice stat from last night’s game mentioned in the tweet above. 12 Jackets in the scoring column. Impressive! #GoJackets

Congratulations to Georgia Tech women’s tennis player Victoria Flores. She was named the ACC Women’s Tennis Player of the Week. Flores and the rest of the women’s tennis team have been having a great season so far. They face off against No. 3 ranked Georgia this Thursday. Good luck to them and #THWG!

This article shares a few memories from one of the rare moments when Kobe Bryant had been on the Tech campus. As it turns out, it was during his final season when he and the rest of the Los Angeles Lakers held a practice session at the Zelnak Basketball Center. Bryant certainly left his mark on the sports world and he will be missed.

The title of this article pretty much says it all. I understand that Tech’s baseball team lost some of its stars to the MLB draft, but I’d imagine they still have enough talent and coaching to be competitive. What do you think? Does a fourth place finish seem about right? How do you see the Yellow Jackets finishing this baseball season?
