Georgia Tech’s football team picked up a key player over the weekend. Former Vanderbilt Commodore and Preseason All-SEC team member Devin Cochran announced his commitment to Georgia Tech. Cochran had entered the transfer portal earlier this month. As the article points out, this is the second offensive linemen to transfer to Tech. At 6’7”, 317 pounds, Cochran will add considerable size to a Tech offensive line that needs it.

In more football news, the Yellow Jackets also picked up another commit for the football team’s 2021 recruiting class. Grayson High’s Jamal Haynes announced via Twitter his plan to commit to Tech. Welcome to the Flats!

Tech’s men’s basketball team broke its losing streak with an exciting win over the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Hopefully this win helps the team get back on track and refocus. They’re still below .500 overall and in the ACC.

It wasn’t a good weekend for the Yellow Jackets women’s basketball team. They dropped their game against the Duke Blue Devils 58-46. A poor scoring effort by the Yellow Jackets in the fourth period helped the Blue Devils secure the win. The women’s team will continue their travels as they will again be on the road for their next game. This time they’ll be traveling to Miami for a 6:00 PM game on Thursday.

The Yellow Jackets men’s tennis team suffered a loss to No. 9 ranked Texas A&M. They were taking part in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Their next four matches will be at home when they host the No. 19 ranked u[sic]GA tennis team on February 2nd.

And in more tennis news, the Yellow Jackets women’s tennis team fared better this past weekend. They defeated the 13th ranked University of South Carolina team 4-1 on Sunday. As the article points out, the team is now 8-0 and has earned a spot at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in February. Congratulations to the Yellow Jackets women’s tennis team.
