Power rankings are fun no matter when they come out, Tech picked 6th in the ACC Coastal.

Well, as the article says, it’s never too early to start looking ahead to the 2020 football season. And that of course means a power rankings of the ACC teams. Naturally, Georgia Tech didn’t rank at the top, as the expectation is that there’s still room for improvement; however, they didn’t rank last either. The Yellow Jackets are ranked sixth in the Coastal division of the ACC by this particular power ranking, one ranking higher than the last place Duke Blue Devils. There is definitely some progress expected in head coach Geoff Collins’ second season. Sixth place wouldn’t be anything to brag about, but it would be better than last year.

Former Yellow Jackets golfer and current PGA tour pro Matt Kuchar won his third international tournament with a victory in Singapore, as the article points out. Congratulations to him.

The Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team will be on the road again. This will be their seventh road game in the last 10, as the article says. They’ll be taking on the sixth ranked Louisville Cardinals tonight. Tip-off is set for 7:00 PM. The Yellow Jackets are 8-10 overall and 3-6 in the ACC. If they’re hoping a strong ACC finish can help launch them into the NCAA tournament, they’ll need to have a good showing tonight. Hopefully, they can pull of the upset.

It’s going to be tough for the Yellow Jackets men’s basketball team tonight as they face Louisville on the road. It will be much more so if Michael Devoe is unable to play — Devoe who is the team’s leading scorer has had issues with a foot injury. It would be great if he’s able to play, but at the same time, it’s probably not worth risking aggravating the injury. Hopefully, it’s not too serious and he’s able to make the start.
