It seems like Georgia Tech muscled its way to victory over Boston College. The Yellow Jackets won the game 71-52. As the article points out, the Yellow Jackets outscored the Eagles 42-18 in the paint. Georgia Tech center James Banks put in a strong performance in the game to help lead the Yellow Jackets defensively along with forward Moses Wright. Banks’ four blocks and Wright’s 10 rebounds were all part of the overall effort. The Yellow Jackets are back to .500 now with an 8-8 record on the season and 3-3 record in the ACC.

The Georgia Tech track and field team had a good showing at the Orange & Purple Elite in Clemson, S.C. on Saturday. Ty Brooks and Olivia Moore had first and second place finishes, respectively. Congratulations to them and the track and field team.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets women’s tennis team had a good opening to their 2020 play. They swept Kennesaw State on Saturday in a double header. The match took place at Tech’s Ken Byers Tennis Complex. Tennis in the winter may sound harsh, but luckily this is an indoor complex.

It wasn’t all good news for the Yellow Jackets this weekend. The Georgia Tech swimming and diving team lost to Auburn on Saturday. It would have been a nice win considering Auburn is ranked. Despite the loss, there were some positives regarding their performance, as the article mentions. That’s always good to know. The Yellow Jackets will get a chance to bounce back as they go on the road to face off against South Carolina on Saturday, January 18th. That match will start at 12:00 PM.

Congratulations to Georgia Tech golfer Noah Norton. The Ben Hogan Trophy Award Foundation named Norton the Ben Hogan Award Golfer of the Month for December.
