This is wonderful news: After an appeal, the NCAA has approved Myles Sims waiver request and he will be immediately-eligible to play. Yes, that means tonight we could see him on the field. The news did come with some other bad news, however, as Antonneous Clayton was not as fortunate with his appeal. His appeal was rejected by the NCAA.
Though Sims appeal was granted, head coach Geoff Collins was understandably not happy with the NCAA based on Clayton’s denial. I’m glad that he made his true sentiments known in his statement regarding the decision. In the future, we should only hope the NCAA does start considering the best interests of the student-athletes. What are your thoughts? Do you feel the NCAA is completely unfair in some of its decisions and policies?

There’s definitely some important do’s-and-dont’s listed here. I remember penalties being an issue for the Yellow Jackets last year during key moments. Something like that needs to be avoided. For the offense, I think having a good rhythm and maintaining possession will be important. And when necessary, settling for a field goal is fine. I’m not expecting a high scoring game.
If the defense can pressure Trevor Lawrence and not let him get comfortable, I think that can give Tech’s offense a fair shot. On defense, I think turnovers will be important. What are your thoughts on how Tech can pull off an upset?
Okay procrastinators, raise your hand if you still haven’t signed up to receive the ACC Network. Don’t wait till the last minute. The game will kickoff 14 hours from the publication of today’s Tidbits, and you definitely want to know where you’ll be tuning in to watch the game. Speaking of which, I’m going to say that Georgia Tech wins in a close one that sees the Yellow Jackets defense hold off a late comeback attempt by Trevor Lawrence and the Tigers. Final score, Yellow Jackets win 23-21. What are you predictions?
