According to this article, Georgia Tech’s basketball team will see eight of its top 11 scorers from last season returning for the 2019-2020 season. And six of those players are perimeter players. Naturally, it would make sense that these players would be working hard this summer to improve their scoring ability.
Looking at last season’s stats, I can definitely understand the importance of improving Tech’s offensive production. The Yellow Jackets finished last in the ACC in scoring and they were next to last in three-point field goals.
Season tickets are going on sale for the 2019-20 season; more information is available here.
Speaking of ticket sales, tickets for the 2019 Georgia Tech volleyball season are also on sale. Apparently there’s an option to purchase “Stinger Seats” which have a padded back and bottom. It seems they are intended to be used once. Does anybody have an idea what a “Stinger Seat” looks like? I don’t understand why they would be used only once and would like to know what one looks like.

So, it looks like Georgia Tech has made the top-5 for another recruit. Reginal Perry is a 6’7” 275-pound defensive tackle out of Fairfield Preparatory School in Fairfield, Alabama. The three-star recruit has as many as 10 offers, but has his favorites down to five schools. These include Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Tennessee, and UAB.

Currently, the Yellow Jackets have four DTs on the roster and zero commits for the 2020 class. This would be a great pick up, should he choose Tech.
As we all anxiously wait for the upcoming football season and the return of collegiate sports, I realized that July is the last month we’ll have to endure without a football game. But it doesn’t have to be a dull month. The ACC is holding its media day next week. Shortly after, Tech football will have its own media day. As slowly as it may feel, we are inching closer to the 2019 football season.
