Georgia Tech was never really a factor in Joshua Braun’s recruitment, but it still doesn’t feel good to see such a good lineman commit to his two brothers’ arch-rival. Hopefully the Jackets will show the dwags up on many occasions in upcoming seasons. Also, congratulations to Trey Braun and his wife on the birth of his son! #FutureJacket
Ken Sugiura’s article on Bryce Gowdy seems to bode well for the Jackets. He appreciates what Geoff Collins is trying to do for the program (#404Takeover), and would fit right in as Georgia Tech is a little shorthanded on receivers for next couple of seasons. Gowdy also is a smart guy, as he appreciates the academics of Tech and is looking towards the future. Let’s hope he makes the smart decision and commits to Tech.
This was not a good way to start off Monday for the Jackets as much needed help on the offensive line was delayed. The Jackets had been a factor throughout Johnson’s recruitment and were hoping he would be able to bolster the line going into the 2020 season. It is still early in the recruiting cycle however, so look for Tech to target more offensive lineman going forward.
4th-rder Kyle McCann signs w/@Athletics for $500k (pick 134 value = $418,200). Georgia Tech C, 23 HR this spring, plus lefty power, back behind plate this year after Joey Bart departed, D a work in progress. @MLBDraft— Jim Callis (@jimcallisMLB) June 11, 2019
Congratulations to Kyle McCann, one of the stars of the 2019 baseball team! He signed for over $80,000 more than the slot value of his pick, so hopefully he’ll give the Athletics his money’s worth and make it to the big leagues in a few short seasons.
Site (co)-manager Ben Tankersley provided some realistic predictions and opinions for sister site Shakin the Southland, but let’s hope he’s wrong and the Jackets add their 5th national championship in January.
I don’t know much about tennis, but I don’t think Rafael Nadal is playing in this tournament, so look for Cole Gromley to dominate as a wild card.
If you’re looking for a fun activity on June 28th, look no further than Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field. This should be an exciting showing, and if you’re a season ticket holder you get to reap the benefits with a reserved area.

I will begin: I went to Maryland. Old Bay is bad. Just use salt.
Question of the Day: Give me your unpopular opinions about Georgia Tech. Don’t go easy on the Institute.
