After this early signing period, there’s certainly a lot to be optimistic about as the article points out. Geoff Collins’ talent for recruiting helped Tech land the 24th ranked recruiting class in the nation -- its highest ranking class since 2007. To put things into perspective, the 2019 class ranked 50th in the nation.
As athletic director of Georgia Tech, Todd Stansbury must be a busy guy. Despite his busy schedule, he’s able to make time for his own podcast, appropriately named “Toddcast”. Tech certainly had a great week so far with the volleyball team winning the NIVC tournament, the historic National Signing Day, and more. The podcast is a great way for Stansbury to provide insights on the latest happenings.
The Yellow Jackets’ women’s basketball team will be headed to Puerto Rico this week for the Coqui Classic in San Juan, Puerto Rico. They’ll be facing Texas A&M this afternoon and Rice on Saturday. I think this game will be a good opportunity to gauge where the women’s team stands right now. At 8-1, they’re off to a great start and a win over a ranked Texas A&M team would be a significant victory. #GoJackets
In case you’re into that sort of thing, this article is a short and candid interview with Georgia Tech guard Coleman Boyd. I guess it’s a good way to get to know some of Tech’s athletes a little better.
It must be nice having $10 million dollars laying around to give away like that. Regardless, this is good news for GT athletics as it aims to complete the renovation of the Edge Center. Hopefully, they are able to meet their goal and raise the required funds. It seems the renovations would be of great benefit to GT athletes. One thing is for sure, it would guarantee that, as always, there’s construction happening somewhere on the Tech campus.
A generous anonymous donor has committed million dollars to match gifts for the Edge Center renovation DOLLAR-FOR-DOLLAR ⬇️https://t.co/kCBtP9Do3n

After a successful National Signing Day, this is the kind of news you want to follow it up with. Ideally, there’ll be other transfers coming in to Tech, bringing with them experience as well. It’s also positive to hear what he listed as some of his reasons for choosing Tech, including its offensive scheme, its line coach, and its culture. That’s definitely encouraging news.
