Congratulations to the Yellow Jackets volleyball team. They defeated the South Dakota Coyotes in straight sets to claim their first ever National Invitational Volleyball Championship. What a way to end the season. #GoJackets

This article is a great example of how much progress Tech football coach Geoff Collins has made in revitalizing the image of Georgia Tech and increasing its appeal to local talent. Understandably, it was especially difficult for Paul Johnson to recruit local talent given the offensive system he ran and his approach to recruiting. With the more “pro-style” offense that Collins has installed and his efforts to redefine Tech and its program as being at the center of the Atlanta football world (and, hence, the center of the college football world), the program has been able to recruit its best class in years. All of that becomes official today as early signing begins and the letters on intent start coming in.

With today being national early signing day, there will be a lot of events to keep up with. There will be live coverage of the event, including a live stream on Facebook. Geoff Collins will also be on ESPN2 to discuss his first recruiting class. This 2020 class is easily one of Tech’s best recruiting classes in years. It will be very exciting to see how this class fares next season. With Tech returning so many of its players from last year and this class being as strong as it is, there’s rightfully a lot of buzz about how this team will look next season.

It’s nice to see former Yellow Jacket athletes doing well in their professional careers. In this case, former Yellow Jackets golfer Stewart Cink was one of six selected to receive the NCAA Silver Anniversary Award. The award recognizes one’s achievements in both college and professional sports. Congratulations to Cink.
