With signing day for the 2020 recruiting class only weeks away, its never too soon to start looking ahead. And what a great way to start off the week. The Yellow Jackets picked up their first commit of the 2021 recruiting class. Malik Rutherford is a wide receiver for Champagnat Catholic School which is a private school in Hialeah, Florida. He made his announcement via Twitter:

Welcome to the Flats!
I couldn’t agree more with this assessment of the Yellow Jackets’ exciting win over North Carolina State in last week’s Thursday night nationally televised game. There are some good points made about James Graham. His performance was encouraging, often showing glimpses of how he can be the Yellow Jackets’ quarterback of the future. This win showed us what Tech football can look like (especially that first half performance). On the offensive side, players like Ahmarean Brown, Malachi Carter, and Jordan Mason are all stars in the making. On the defense and special teams, Tech will have returning players like David Curry and Pressley Harvin III who, as seniors, will provide great leadership. This win was just the motivation this team needed going into Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate at the end of the week. #THWG
The Yellow Jackets volleyball team defeated Notre Dame 3-2 in what would be their final home game of the regular season. Their last game of the regular season comes on Friday as they travel to Coral Gables, Florida to take on Miami. Congratulations and good luck to the volleyball team! #GoJackets
Georgia Tech’s men’s basketball team has a big challenge ahead of it tonight. The Yellow Jackets will be hosting the undefeated Arkansas Razorbacks. Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM tonight at McCamish Pavilion. Be sure to tune in to the ACC Network to watch live coverage of the game. #GoJackets
