Georgia Tech’s men’s basketball team will be in Athens, Georgia tonight to take on u[sic]GA. Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM and the game can be streamed live by SEC Network Plus. The Yellow Jackets are coming off of a nine day rest, so they should be fresh for tonight’s game. Good luck to the men’s basketball team. #THWG

In more basketball news, the women’s team will be hosting Georgia State tonight at McCamish Pavilion. Tipoff for that game will also be at 7:00 PM. The game will be available on ACC Network Extra. Good luck to the ladies’ team as well. #GoJackets

It was a pretty slow week for former Yellow Jackets on the professional golf tours. There’s not much to really report. This week there will be six former Yellow Jackets featured at the RSM Classic in Sea Island, Georgia. The tournament will take place from November 21-24 at the Sea Island Resort’s Seaside Course. Best of luck to all of them.

Tomorrow is Thursday, and that means gameday for the Yellow Jackets as they host the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Kickoff is set for 8:00 PM and the game will be televised on ESPN. #GoJackets

This was a fun and interesting read. You can learn a lot about coaches from their coaching tree and their colleagues. It’s encouraging to read Matt Rhule’s take and hear about his insights regarding how he turned around Baylor’s program. Rhule seems to have confidence in Geoff Collins and his ability to get Tech on the right path. One thing I definitely took notice of was his statement regarding the timing. “[T]he success that they’ll have in three years will have been borne out of the strife of this season,” said Rhule about Tech’s season.

For some Tech fans, this may mean they’ll have to tamper down their expectations for next season, which isn’t entirely unreasonable. Nobody said this team would be an overnight success. Even if it means that 2020 is another sluggish season, it would be worth it if Tech can break the top 20 by season three. I’d be more than happy with that, which begs the question, what are your expectations? What do you expect for season two and beyond?
