Georgia Tech’s men’s basketball team picked up another commit for the 2020 recruiting class. Tristan Maxwell of Huntersville, North Carolina has signed on to play with the Yellow Jackets. The 6’2” guard will be a key addition. He’s a consistent double-figure scorer, and the Yellow Jackets can use someone with his talent and ability to score. This should be a good addition to Tech’s roster.
Yesterday marked the official one-year mark from when the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will play their first game of the five-year Mayhem at MBS series. On November 14th, 2020, Tech will play host to Notre Dame at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in downtown Atlanta. This should present a great opportunity for fans as well as the players and coaching staff. MBS is definitely one of the more advanced and modern stadiums that provides a great football experience.
It makes perfect sense that the tight-end position would be more significant. At 6’4”, Tyler Davis is a big-bodied receiver who can also be effective in the offense’s pass-protection. And as head coach Geoff Collins suggests in the article, his leadership skills as a grad-transfer are an added bonus.
Georgia Tech’s women’s tennis team has picked up three commits, including two international recruits. Here’s the list of the newest Yellow Jackets:
- Mahak Jain - Bhopal, India
- Ava Hrastar - Duluth, Ga.
- Monika Dedaj - Pula, Croatia

This article by FTRS’s own Matt Schwartz provides insight into one of Tech’s brighter stars. Wide receiver Ahmarean Brown has proved this season that he is a “big time playmaker”. Hopefully, as the offense improves over the future, we’ll be seeing a lot more of Brown.
