Team USA won the men’s championship at the 2019 Spirit International Amateur Golf Championship. The tournament took place at Whispering Pines Golf Club. From reading this article, it seems Saturday’s loss was hard for the Yellow Jackets, especially after coming so close to pulling off an upset against Virginia. Certainly, as head coach Geoff Collins suggests, the team is making improvements in key areas, such as the offensive line and at the quarterback position. Despite the loss on Saturday, despite the team’s current record, it seems they are on the right track. The Yellow Jackets will host Virginia Tech on Saturday 16 as they close out the season with a three-game home stretch.
The fall season has come to an end for Georgia Tech’s women’s tennis team. Yesterday they concluded the season at the Rebel Invite in Las Vegas, Nevada. In consolation play, they put together seven wins. Congratulations to the women’s tennis team. On January 11th, the women’s tennis team will return to action as they host Kennesaw State for a doubleheader.
In basketball news, the women’s basketball team absolutely demolished Grambling State 89-42. Very impressive win. In more basketball news, the men’s team will host Elon at 7:30 PM tonight at McCamish Pavilion. #GoJackets
