This season might be the first in a while that Georgia Tech Football will not have a Saturday game televised on ABC, ESPN, ESPNU, or ESPN2. So far, all except for one have been on either a RSN or the ACCN. The only game that is guaranteed to be on ESPN is the NC State game, which will take place on a Thursday night. I don’t necessarily mind non-ESPN games, it’s just that there are usually less viewers when games are not televised on major networks. Although that might not be the worst thing in the world considering the results so far this season.

Jay Hardy is one of the top recruits at the SDE position in the 2020 class, ranking fifth nationally according to 247Sports. Hardy is also ranked fifth overall in the state of Tennessee, and is number 113 overall in the nation. This would be far and away the biggest recruit of the Geoff Collins era on The Flats if he does commit, so be sure you’re watching next Wednesday. Hopefully Hardy will join the Jackets!
Baseball had a much better exhibition than the basketball team this weekend, defeating Samford 8-7 in a 12-inning game. The Jackets turned the heat on late, scoring seven runs in the final four innings, and got almost everyone on the roster into the game. In exhibition games, you want your team to face a little adversity, it builds experience and lets players gain knowledge for close-game scenarios when they really matter.
The American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) is one of the most prestigious junior golf organizations in the world. For Tech freshman Andy Mao to be named to their Rolex Junior Golf All-America second team is an incredible accomplishment, as only the top junior golfers internationally are recognized on those teams. Mao was a dominant high school player in Georgia, winning last year’s individual state championship by 12 strokes. He will look to continue that level of play in college. Keep it up, Andy!

Congratulations to new Georgia Tech President Ángel Cabrera on his investiture yesterday!
Question of the Day: What do you think Tech’s chances are of landing Jay Hardy?
