Miami - 16 | Pittsburgh - 12

This game was a mess, especially before Jarren Williams came in for an injured N’Kosi Perry. Williams was able to lead the game-winning drive, but the Hurricanes were only able to manufacture 193 yards of total offense. These teams went a combined 11-of-34 on third downs, 10 penalties, and four turnovers. One good thing for Miami: they successfully kicked a field goal.

Miami plays again next Saturday at Florida State. Pittsburgh plays again next Saturday at Georgia Tech.

Virginia - 21 | Louisville - 28

In some senses, Louisville seems to be turning a corner. Against UVA, the Cardinals rode their running game to victory. Javian Hawkins rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns while Malik Cunningham added another 97 yards and a touchdown. They don’t have much of a passing game, though.

Virginia plays again next Saturday at North Carolina. Louisville is on a bye this week.

Syracuse - 17 | Florida State - 35

Between Cam Akers and Florida State’s defense, this was an easy victory for the Seminoles. Akers went for 144 yards and four touchdowns on just 20 carries. The defense racked up seven sacks and 12 tackles for loss, while holding the Orange offense to just 332 yards.

Syracuse plays again next Saturday against Boston College. Florida State plays again next Saturday against Florida State.

Duke - 17 | North Carolina - 20

The ending of this game was something else. UNC drove down the field to extend their lead and fumbled at the goalline. Duke recovers and starts working their way down the field. As they get to the goalline, they try this little jump pass that gets nowhere near any receiver, but into the hands of the UNC defender. It was a real #goacc moment of beauty. Sam Howell struggled a little bit in this game, completing just 10 passes and throwing two picks.

Duke is on a bye this week. North Carolina plays again next Saturday against Virginia.

Boston College - 7 | Clemson - 59

Clemson had a lot of yards and a lot of points. Trevor Lawrence missed three passes the whole game. In short, not much went well for Boston College in this game. The one positive for them is that AJ Dillon became the all-time leading rusher at Boston College, so kudos to him.

Boston College plays again next Saturday at Syracuse. Clemson plays again next Saturday against Wofford.

#goacc Moment of the Week

For the second week in a row, the Miami Hurricanes are the recipients of the #goacc Moment of the Week for being the team that popularized the turnover chain and proceeding to lose by a measurement chain.

Let’s take a look at the updated standings:

  • Florida State - 2
  • Georgia Tech - 2
  • Miami - 2
  • Boston College - 1
  • Duke - 1
  • North Carolina - 1
  • Pittsburgh - 1

In just two weeks, Miami went from off the board to the top of it, and I think that’s just great. Anyway, be sure to leave your nominees for this week in the comments! If you see the moment you’d like to nominate, please be sure to rec the comment!
