It will be the 11th time the Jackets face Jim Boeheim and the Orange, the record stands at 5-5, with the Jackets winning last year’s match-up 55-51 behind a 20-point performance by Josh Okogie and 15 turnovers by the Orange, Tech’s last win in the Carrier Dome was 2014.

Top Players

#25 Tyus Battle – 6-6 Jr Guard – 17.5 Points, 3.1 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists

Battle has been a double figure scorer since stepping on campus at Syracuse. His numbers are down a bit from last season, though he has 7 20+ point games this season and has been held to single digits only twice, both Syracuse wins. He was a 1st Team All-ACC selection in the preseason, after being a 2nd Team All-ACC selection at the close of last season

#33 Elijah Hughes – 6-6 Jr Forward – 15.2 Points, 4.9 Rebounds, 1.4 Assists

Hughes has become a solid contributor for the Orange this season, sitting out last season after transferring from ECU. Hughes has scored in double figures in every game this season, expect for two, with two 20+ point games. He as also shot .364 from behind the three-point line.

#11 Oshae Brissett – 6-8 So Forward – 13.9 Points, 8.3 Rebounds, 1.9 Assists

Brissett is the third double figure scorer and third player to average over 30 minutes per game. He has four double-doubles this season and leads the team in rebounds.

#23 Frank Howard - 6-5 Sr Guard – 6.5 Points, 1.7 Rebounds, 3.7 Assists

Howard has started 11 games for the Orange this season, with two double figure scoring games. He is also the leading assist maker for Syracuse.

#5 Jalen Carey – 6-3 Fr Guard 5.4 Points, 2.4 Rebounds, 1.6 Assists

Carey is the main freshman option for Syracuse. He has two double figure outings, highlighted by 26-point explosion in a loss to UCONN.

#13 Paschal Chukwu – 7-2 Sr Center – 3.9 Points, 5.2 Rebounds, 1.6 Blocks

Chukwu is the main post player for the Orange. He leads the team in blocks and shoots .654 from the floor.

#21 Marek Dolezaj – 6-10 So Forward – 3.7 Points, 3.0 Rebounds, 1.5 Assists

Dolezaj has four starts and one double figure game this season. He is also shooting .500 from three-point line but averages less than one made per game.

The Jackets are coming off a heart-breaking loss in their last game. The Orange are on a two-game win streak in the ACC. A win in the Carrier Dome would be a great shot in the arm for Tech but looks to be a tall order.
