Technical Tidbits 9/19: Shooty Hoops Sighting!

Women’s Basketball has ACC schedule revealed

Women’s Basketball ACC Schedule Announced

Yesterday the ACC announced the 16 game conference schedule for Tech along with the other 14 ACC member schools. The Jackets kick off ACC play with a trip to Boston College before a home game against defending national champion Notre Dame. The schedule features five games to be televised on Fox Sports South and the other 11 to be streamed online through ACC Network Extra. MaChelle Joseph’s squad is coming off an NIT berth and welcomes in two five star recruits in Elizabeth Balogun and Elizabeth Dixon.

Oddsmakers Peg Tech as 17 Point Underdog to Clemson

As of last night, Vegas has Tech listed as a 17 point home underdog to Clemson. If that line holds until kickoff, it would be the largest point spread against the Jackets in Paul Johnson’s eleven years at the helm. Tech was only a 14 point underdog when it traveled to Clemson last year. For another reference point, the Jackets were only five point underdogs on the night that the Miracle on Techwood Drive took place.

Status of Bryan, Marshall in Doubt as Saturday Approaches

Starting offensive linemen Will Bryan and Andrew Marshall are still not cleared to play and may not be cleared by Saturday. Bryan missed the Pitt game with a lower body injury and Marshall left the game with a lower body injury. If they can’t go Saturday, their injuries along with Kenny Cooper’s restricted snap count leave Tech very thin up front on the offense line. Oh, and Clemson has one of the best defensive lines in college football history.
