Last night, Jordan Huff became the fourteenth member of the 2019 recruiting class, and the fourth to commit in the last 48 hours.
BREAKING: #GeorgiaTech is the school for Morgan County (Ga.) athlete Jordan Huff. He has committed to Paul Johnson and he is shutting his recruitment down. Huff said, "I want to give my team my all, so I am done with recruiting."

Huff is listed as an athlete on recruiting websites, but it is reported that Georgia Tech recruited him to play cornerback. The Madison, GA native has one of the most impressive offer sheets of any commit in this cycle, reporting offers from Louisville, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and others. Huff committed to play for Mark D’Antonio at Michigan State on Christmas of 2017, but decommitted from the Spartans on June 28th of this year.
Huff is listed a three star recruit on both 24/7 and Rivals, and he holds the highest 24/7 composite rating of any committed recruit in the class at .8789. The addition of Huff makes four defensive backs in the 2019 class, so one would have to think that Johnson and his staff will turn their focus to other positions now. That said, the staff has done an outstanding job recruiting defensive backs in the last few classes, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see the secondary be a major strength of the team in a couple years.
Big props to Paul Johnson and his staff for an excellent couple days of recruiting, and congratulations to Jordan and his family on his commitment!
Here’s to hoping the hot streak continues.
