Pro Jacket Report - March 9th, 2018

Welcome to From the Rumble Seat’s weekly look at the Yellow Jackets in professional basketball.

National Basketball Association:

Derrick Favors - Utah Jazz: After missing one game due to a neck injury, Favors played solidly in his return to the lineup, helping the Jazz to get a win over the Indiana Pacers. He had seven points and seven rebounds in the game. Before going down with said injury, Favors had been playing well, averaging fifteen points a game the previous week. The Jazz remain at tenth in the conference.

Marcus Georges-Hunt - Minnesota Timberwolves: Another light week for Georges-Hunt, which saw him garner just three minutes of action. The Timberwolves have not won all week and have fallen to sixth place in the Western Conference.

Jarrett Jack - New York Knicks: It is highly likely Jack will not play the remainder of the season for the Knicks. He has not appeared in quite some time as the Knicks, who are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference standings, look to move a different direction from the impending unrestricted free agent.

Iman Shumpert - Sacramento Kings: Shumpert is yet to play for his new team on the West Coast. However, he has been participating in drills and game simulation in practice and looks to be preparing for a return some time in the near future.

Thaddeus Young - Indiana Pacers: Continues his solid play, as ever. The Pacers are just 2-2 this week but remain in fifth in the Eastern Conference, in part thanks to Young’s reliable 11.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per night. This statistic hit the news just after Pro Jacket Report was written this week, but a belated congratulations to him for the lofty company this little slice of data puts him in.

With time running out before the end of the season, will three of our five Pro Jackets see the court at all the rest of this year?
