What the heck happened to Jarrett Jack?

Welcome to From the Rumble Seat’s weekly look at the Yellow Jackets in professional basketball.

National Basketball Association:

Derrick Favors - Utah Jazz: Favors played three games this week, logging his usual minutes on generally inefficient shooting. However, even on his least productive night from the floor, he managed to contribute in other ways, reeling in nine rebounds, a pair of assists, and a steal, despite only tallying four points. The Jazz went 1-2 in those games and remain on the outside looking in on the Western Conference playoff race.

Marcus Georges-Hunt - Minnesota Timberwolves: Still suffering from a dearth of minutes, Georges-Hunt continues to take advantage when he can. Though he saw only four minutes this week, in his single minute against the Bulls, he scored and snagged a rebound. His Timberwolves remain a strong third in the Western Conference after winning two of their three since the break.

Jarrett Jack - New York Knicks: Jack has vanished from the Knicks rotation since the break. Rumors of a buy-out swirl, as the Knicks may look to part with the impending unrestricted free agent. Time will tell what happens, either way, but Jack’s prospects in New York look dim at best.

Iman Shumpert - Sacramento Kings: Shumpert is still nursing that knee injury he underwent surgery on a few months back. The original timeline was back by the All Star Game, but, after recovering nicely and coming back for a game, he remains on the shelf. This one seems to have no clear end in sight as well.

Thaddeus Young - Indiana Pacers: He has probably quietly had the strongest season of any of the Pro Jackets. Young continues to contribute on a playoff Pacers team, who, despite being one for three since the break, remain at fifth in the Eastern Conference. His most recent performances average over twelve points and seven rebounds a game, always solid numbers. Five steals in a 23 point victory last week against the Hawks are a pretty nice addition as well.
