Technical Tidbits 2/26: Tech Basketball Skid Hits Seven

Another heartbreaking loss for the basketball team, this time at Clemson

Georgia Tech Loses Late At Clemson

Normally back-to-back losses away at top 20 teams would not be disappointing for all except the best teams. But, with how the season has gone for this Tech team and given the late lead they held against the Clemson Tigers, it still feels that way. This game was ugly, pretty much nobody for Tech shot well (Josh Okogie a clear exception) and basically the entire team was in foul trouble in the second half. It looked a few games ago like this team may be falling apart, but they have held strong the last couple games against tough competition. Now they finish off the season with two winnable home games against NC State and Wake Forest.

Jacket’s Baseball Sweeps Dartmouth

After a slow start to the season, Tech swept their weekend series against the Big Green from Dartmouth. They started out by hammering Dartmouth 10-0 on Friday, before winning both ends of a double header in slightly closer fashion, 12-9 and 11-5. Xzavion Curry threw a great game on Friday with 7 scoreless innings with 4 hits, 6 strikeouts, and 0 walks. The MVP of this series was certainly outfielder Chase Murray. He hit 10-14 with 2 HR, 2 2b, and 7 RBIs. That’s a dominant series.
