Bonus stage activated. Basketball coach Josh Pastner received a contract extension last fall, the details of which are just now coming to light. Among them are a pretty large retention bonus if he’s still the coach at the end of the 2021-22 season. Ken has more details.

How much of that bonus is going to product to keep Pastner’s hair perfect? We’ll likely never know.

Let’s talk about that big football game for a minute. As we all know, Georgia Tech can’t possibly put any offensive players in the NFL thanks to the system it runs. Anyway, the AJC checked in on previous Super Bowl champion Shaq Mason this week. He’s back in another one this year, but all this time being one of the best OGs in the world hasn’t kept him from following his Yellow Jackets. We still keep up with you too, man.

They’re irresistible, they’re unpredictable, All-ACC Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaales. The all-ACC academic football team list is out, and there are not one, but two Yellow Jackets who made the cut: OL Parker Braun and WR Brad Stewart, both making the list for the second year. If two members on the 68-person team seems a bit low (compared to, say, Duke’s 13), remember this is Georgia Tech, the only university in the world that employs grade deflation.
