Choice, a three-year workhorse at Georgia Tech who ran for 3,365 yards on 675 carries between 2005 and 2007, will fittingly coach Georgia Tech’s running backs. He comes to the Flats from North Texas, where he spent on season as a quality control assistant and one season as the team’s running backs coach. Choice also had stints with the Dallas Cowboys, Washington Redskins, Indianapolis Colts, and Buffalo Bills as a player. He is also one of finalists for the 2018 Running Backs Coach of the Year Award, proving that his success as a running back extends to coaching as well.
His connection to Geoff Collins presumably dates back to 2006, when Collins was the recruiting coordinator at Tech and Choice was the team’s top back. Choice will bring a youthful presence to Tech’s coaching staff that was often lacking under Paul Johnson and has plenty of traits (local connections and professional experience, among others) that could make him a strong recruiter in the Atlanta area.
Welcome back, coach Choice!
