Georgia Tech got some encouraging news on the basketball recruiting front yesterday when it was announced that four-star small forward Chandler Lawson will take an official visit to Tech. It will be a Tar Heel Homecoming on Saturday when the Jackets head up to Chapel Hill for a late-season appointment with Dr. Fedora. It sounds for all the world like Tobias Oliver and Taquon Marshall will split time against Carolina, which is probably the best course of action. Paul Johnson calls such drastically different plays depending on which quarterback is on the field that a strong gameplan for an opposing defense is to prepare for both — a tall task to say the least. The Heels have given us no indication that they can stop this offense in the past, much less two variants of it in one game.

Maryland had been under the leadership of interim head coach Matt Canada while Durkin was sidelined and will continue with that arrangement for the near future.
