Demaryius Thomas Traded

It was announced yesterday that former Georgia Tech wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was traded from the Denver Broncos to the Houston Texans. Thomas was a Yellow Jacket from 2007-09, and since then has established himself as one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL. His numbers have slipped recently, but that could be attributed to poor quarterback play in Denver. Now he will get to catch passes from former Clemson Tiger Deshaun Watson in Houston.

Oliver or Marshall?

We now have a quarterback controversy on our hands, and you can read about it here. Both Tobias Oliver and TaQuon Marshall figure to play on Saturday when the Jackets take on UNC, but it is to be seen how the playing time is broken up. Despite what Coach Johnson calls a limited knowledge of the offense, Oliver has looked terrific when he has gotten chances to play this year.

Baseball Set for White vs. Gold World Series

The Georgia Tech baseball team will wrap up its fall slate today at 2:30 pm as the team pitts white against gold in an intrasquad scrimmage. Players Kyle McCann and Carter Hall will get a chance to manage the two teams, and returning pitchers Xzavion Curry and Connor Thomas will start for the two teams. Come out for a sneak peek of what’s coming in the spring!
