As crazy as it may seem, the Georgia Tech football team is already halfway through the practice week. The Jackets will kickoff against Louisville on Friday night, meaning the team got right back to work after Saturday’s victory over Bowling Green. The team was back on the practice field on Sunday to get started on the abbreviated week. With a Thursday travel date, that means the Yellow Jackets are already halfway through their practice week. So today is kind of like a Wednesday. Happy Hump Day! In addition to being the first meeting with Louisville, this will be Georgia Tech’s first Friday night game since Clean, Old Fashioned Hate 1994, which was played the day after Thanksgiving.
Our Louisville sister site, Card Chronicle, kicked off their Georgia Tech previews with a look at our option-based offense. The article has a few of the mistakes that you tend to see when a fanbase Tech doesn’t play often tries to cover the offense but it’s overall a solid piece from an opposing team site. If you feel so inclined, go over and say hello to Bluegrass State friends (just be nice!).
Blackout vs. All-White
Louisville will be holding their annual Blackout game against Georgia Tech on Friday night. To counter, the Yellow Jackets will be going with head-to-toe white, a look first seen this season against Pittsburgh.
Homecoming Kickoff Time Set
It’s going to be time for another breakfast tailgate in a couple weeks when Duke comes to town. The ACC announced kickoff times for the weekend of October 13th yesterday, and Georgia Tech will take on Duke at 12:20pm. The game will be televised on Raycom affiliates. Get up early, catch the Wreck Parade, get your breakfast tailgate on, and head on down to Bobby Dodd to cheer on the Jackets!
