The uniforms for Saturday’s homecoming game against Duke were announced yesterday, and they include a surprise. For the first time in recent history, the Jackets will be sporting navy pants when they walk onto the field on Saturday. The team is also wearing its away jerseys, and it is unclear if the away jerseys are being pulled out to match the pants or because of the criticism that the home jerseys have gotten for being hard to read.
Our friends over at Duke Basketball Report wrote some about the Georgia Tech-Duke football rivalry, and it’s very good. The teams have quite a history of competitive games dating back almost 90 years. Tech leads the series 51-33-1, but back in the day the gap was much narrower.
With the exhibition game against Florida Tech only a few weeks away, the basketball team is making its season preparations. While Jose Alvarado and Devoe will be the primary ball handlers, Coach Pastner will expect everyone on the floor to be able to handle the ball this season.
