Welcome to From the Rumble Seat’s weekly look at the Yellow Jackets in professional basketball.

National Basketball Association:

Derrick Favors - Utah Jazz: A light week for Favors, though he did have another double-double, so that’s always fun. His Jazz won three of the past four games, though the game they lost was to the rebuilding Atlanta Hawks. The Favors trade rumors have quieted of late, but there is still a lot of time left to make a deal. In the meantime, he continues to be a steady producer for the 10th place Jazz.

Marcus Georges-Hunt - Minnesota Timberwolves: Georges-Hunt had a career night against the Raptors, with 12 points in 29 minutes played. After finally getting more minutes to prove himself, he landed himself in double figures, with a smattering of rebounds and assists to boot. Since that big night, he’s played about 20 minutes a game, albeit with a little less to show for it. However, a career night is a career night, and, by that measure, Georges-Hunt had a great week.

Jarrett Jack - New York Knicks: Another light week, however, he did hit 10 assists against the Lakers, the second week in a row he hit that lofty number, and this week he didn’t even need extra time to get there. His latest game, a losing effort against the Warriors, was probably his best all-around on the week. The New York Knicks sit at tenth place in the Eastern Conference.

Iman Shumpert - Cleveland Cavaliers: Shumpert is back! In the Cavaliers’ latest game, the rehabilitating veteran saw six minutes of play, not scoring, but pulling in one rebound. Look for Shumpert to ease his way back into the rotation coming off of his knee surgery.

Thaddeus Young - Indiana Pacers: It was a good week for this Indiana Pacer. Thanks to lights-out shooting, his latest game against the Suns was the best of a string of games with strong peripherals and double-figure points. He finished with 22 points, three rebounds, and three steals in the winning effort. The Pacers remain in the playoff picture, currently sitting in sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

Chris Bosh: Former Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors star Chris Bosh will be visiting home this Sunday for the home basketball game against Clemson. The Athletic Association will be giving Bosh replica jerseys to the first 2,000 fans at McCamish Pavilion.
