Despite a loss to Tennessee, Georgia tech has reason to be hopeful in TaQuon Marshall.

Marshall Named ACC Offensive Back of the Week

TaQuon Marshall’s 249 rushing yards on 44 carries and five touchdowns in his first career start against Tennessee earned him honors as one of the ACC Players of the Week.

Marshall shined in his first start for Georgia Tech, directing Tech’s offense to 535 rushing yards and 41 points. He even showed up on ESPN’s list of Heisman Trophy contenders following Week 1.

Devine Named to PFF National Team of the Week

Shamire Devine also received recognition for his effort in Week 1, making Pro Football Focus’s National Team of the Week. Devine received a grade of 91.3 in Tech’s season opener against Tennessee.
