Cink has been on the PGA tour for over 20 years now, and has been nothing but an excellent representative of The Institute. The award recognizes charitable and philanthropic endeavors by tour professionals. Cink spoke about 20 minutes for his acceptance speech, and it’s entirely worth your time.
The Pittsburg head coach and former Michigan State defensive coordinator offered some praise of the Georgia Tech QB during the coach’s conference call this week. Narduzzi likened Marshall to the acclaimed, former Michgian QB Denard Robinson.
Robinson was well known for being both a passing and running threat during his time with the Wolverines while Narduzzi was the DC at their in-state rival. Robinson became the first player in FBS history to both pass and rush for over 1,500 yards in a single season.
“TaQuon is an electric guy, I think,” Narduzzi said. “I think he’s scary. He’ll drop back and throw it, as well, and I think he’s got a pretty electric arm. He’s something special. Coach (Paul) Johnson found himself a special guy there he’ll have for a couple years.”
Despite a down year that was marred by injuries, the Yellow Jacket baseball team’s most recent recruiting class comes in at #15 nationally according to the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. The ranking is good for 4th in the ACC, finishing just behind Clemson, Miami, and FSU.
