Former Georgia Tech golfer Stuart Cink wins the Payne Stewart award

Pat Narduzzi offers praise for Taquon Marshall

The Pittsburg head coach and former Michigan State defensive coordinator offered some praise of the Georgia Tech QB during the coach’s conference call this week. Narduzzi likened Marshall to the acclaimed, former Michgian QB Denard Robinson.

Robinson was well known for being both a passing and running threat during his time with the Wolverines while Narduzzi was the DC at their in-state rival. Robinson became the first player in FBS history to both pass and rush for over 1,500 yards in a single season.

“TaQuon is an electric guy, I think,” Narduzzi said. “I think he’s scary. He’ll drop back and throw it, as well, and I think he’s got a pretty electric arm. He’s something special. Coach (Paul) Johnson found himself a special guy there he’ll have for a couple years.”
