During his press conference on Tuesday, Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson intimated his team might end up scheduling a 12th game after all.

Johnson added he would only be interested in playing a game on Oct. 7, Georgia Tech’s bye week, instead of a tentatively scheduled game on Dec. 2 contingent upon Tech not playing in the ACC Championship Game.
Tech’s game with UCF was canceled due to Hurricane Irma and a Georgia Tech spokesperson originally said the Yellow Jackets would keep their schedule at 11 games.
Paul Johnson and players met with the media following practice earlier this week.
Running back JJ Green introduced a interesting reason for his affinity for noon games. “All those cuts early in the morning? Guys don’t want to do that. They’re just waking up,” Green said.
Georgia Tech’s game this Saturday against Pittsburgh is slated for a 12:30 kickoff and the Jackets’ contest the following week versus North Carolina kicks off at noon. Here’s to hoping Green’s reasoning holds true.
