WR Malachi Carter Is Commit #15

The Class Continues to Fill Up With This Talented WR From Mountain View

NCAA Football: Tennessee at Georgia Tech Dale Zanine-USA TODAY Sports

Malachi Carter looks and plays exactly like you’d expect a Tech receiver to. He’s 6’2” and has no issue getting jump balls due to his solid hops and his knack for finding the ball. Malachi is from Lawrenceville, GA and plays at Mountain View High School. He had an odd mix of schools after him with Iowa State, Louisville, and Tech being his finalists. Today he decided to stay close to home and play his college ball on the flats.

I don’t know why Malachi is rated so low. He looks like exactly what schools want as a receiver. He is very explosive and looks great at going up and getting jump balls. The main concern for me is that he is a little too skinny to play at Tech. He is only listed at 180 and he looks very thin. Getting into a college weight room and bulking up while not losing any of that explosiveness is certainly doable. I wouldn’t expect to see much of him as a freshman as this could hamper his ability to block and WR is one of Tech’s deepest positions.
