As first reported by Kelly Quinlan, Georgia Tech is set to officially announce its new apparel partnership with Adidas today.

Georgia Tech has received plenty of criticism for being the last Power 5 team outfitted by Russell Athletic, and the challenges associated with that have been well-documented.
While some fans hoped Tech would partner with Nike, Adidas has put out some good stuff in the way of uniforms recently. Also, it’s an obviously huge upgrade from Russell, so I don’t think many Tech fans will complain.
Joey Weaver will have a full column on the deal, but suffice it to say every Georgia Tech fan is excited for this news.
Georgia Tech will have a new voice as its radio sideline reporter this football season - Wiley Ballard.
Ballard has served as the Georgia Tech baseball play-by-play announcer for the past three years on WREK and worked in Tech’s communications and public relations departments while completing his business administration degree, which he received in May.
Ballard will also serve as the host of the football pregame and postgame shows on the Georgia Tech IMG Sports Network. Ballard will join play-by-play man Andy Demetra and analyst Sean Bedford.
Josh Pastner added a stretch forward to Georgia Tech’s 2018 recruiting class in three-star big man Kristian Sjolund.
Originally from Norway, Sjolund plays his high school basketball in Katy, Texas. Rivals called him, “as good a shooting big man as we saw anywhere in the country,” and compared him to Houston Rockets forward Ryan Anderson.

The poster for the Jackets’ opener looks awesome. Tech meets the Vols in just 13 days inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
