Four-Star LB Justice Dingle Commit to Georgia Tech

Add another four-star prospect to the list of impressive commitments for Georgia Tech’s 2018 class.

Paul Johnson and the rest of the football staff made it a baker’s dozen on Tuesday, securing commitment No. 13 of the 2018 recruiting class in the form of four-star linebacker Justice Dingle.

A 6-foot-2, 243-pound prospect out of Bowling Green, KY, Dingle is rated as the fourteenth-best inside linebacker in the nation and the second-best overall player in the state of Kentucky (per Rivals). He carries a 0.8711 247Sports Composite rating and a 5.8 rating on Rivals. There is some discrepancy between those rankings, but there’s no denying Dingle’s impressive first step and playmaking ability. He will fit in well next season as Tech continues to look for long-term answers at the linebacker position.

Dingle’s list of offers is an impressive one, featuring the likes of Tennessee, Louisville, Kentucky, and Purdue — the school that Tech beat out for his services. His commitment helps to shore up what is already looking like a solid defensive recruiting class for the Jackets, featuring a pair of linebackers (Dingle and JaQuez Jackson), a couple of strong defensive linemen (T.K. Chimedza and Austin Smith), and a very nice group of defensive backs. (including four-star Jaylon King).
