We are still, frustratingly, in the heart of the offseason, so the news is a little slow. One thing to look out for is the GT Athletics podcast with Todd Stansbury that is released today. They have hinted on Twitter that they are breaking some news on it. Many fans are hoping for an announcement on a new apparel deal, but I would be surprised if this was how they announced it. Keep an eye out for this one.
Luke Johns Becomes Georgia Tech’s 12th Commitment
On Friday, Georgia Tech got more good news on Friday as they got their third recruit in less than 24 hours as the Dalton defensive end joined the team. Johns has said that Georgia Tech was his number 1 choice of any school in the country and committed the same weekend he got his offer. With this commitment, the recruiting class is starting to fill up, especially on the defensive side of the ball. With three defensive lineman, one linebacker, and two defensive backs there are probably only a couple of spots left in this recruiting class for defensive players.
Christian Matthews Transfers to Indian Hill Community College
Last season as a freshman, Matthews received some playing time before leaving the team and announcing that he was transferring. It had not been revealed where he was going to attend next season, but now it is reported that he is attending Indian Hill Community College in Iowa. This will allow Matthews to play this year and potentially transfer back into D1 next year. Best of luck Christian.

Ben was on to give Tennessee fans some information on their first week opponents. He discusses expectations for the defense, the fanbase’s relationship with Paul Johnson, and much more. It’s a good interview with a lot of information about Tech and you should definitely give it a listen.
