It’s slow around these parts lately...
Pastner has 3 scholarships available, and it seems unlikely all of them will be used
With 4 offers standing to the likes of Jordan Tucker and MJ Walker, plus a pair of grad transfers for the 2017 class, odds are the Yellow Jackets will not play next season at the maximum scholarship limit. This is not a huge ordeal, since Pastner showed last season that he favors a short rotation, albeit largely out of necessity.
With Tucker receiving a Duke offer and Walker taking official visits around the country, Tech’s odds of landing either of the pair appear to be slim.
Hans Brase, a graduate transfer from Princeton, is also one of Pastner’s targets, and perhaps the most promising. The big forward is also visiting Richmond and Nebraska before making his decision, which he is expected to announce this week.

Atlanta Residents, take heart! The bridge opens on Monday
There was rejoicing throughout metro Atlanta yesterday as Governor Deal announced that the collapsed I-85 bridge will be open in time for Monday morning’s rush hour. It may even open sooner than then.
It’s no secret that several writers of this fine blog are wrestling fans. So, if you are, like me, bored at work this Thursday morning, I would suggest you check out this largely charming profile of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson from GQ Magazine. Don’t skip the part where he is seriously considering running for President - I would pay good money to see him in the debates.
