The final game of three between Georgia Tech and Georgia was played at SunTrust Park Tuesday night, and just like the first two, the finale went the way of the Dawgs.

Tech battled back from an early 3-0 deficit to tie the game 7-7. With the game tied in the 9th inning, a foul tip with two outs that should have sent the Jackets to the dugout tied was inexplicably ruled a foul ball. Capitalizing on the umpiring mistake, Georgia scored the deciding run in the top of the 9th and the Jackets fell 8-7.
The Atlanta Braves promoted Anfernee Seymour from the Rome Braves to the Florida Fire Frogs, and taking his place in Rome will be former Yellow Jacket Matt Gonzalez.

Gonzalez hit .378 with 11 HR and 54 RBI as a senior last season for Tech. He was drafted by the Braves in the sixth round of the 2016 MLB Draft.
CBS came out with the first half of a list ranking all 65 Power 5 coaches in college football. We don’t know exactly where Paul Johnson is yet, because the first list only ranked #65-26 - meaning CPJ is somewhere in the top 25 coaches in America, according to CBS. Georgia’s Kirby Smart was ranked #54. Other coaches ranked behind CPJ whom Tech will face in 2017 include #52 Butch Jones, #46 Dave Clawson, #43 Pat Narduzzi, #34 Justin Fuente, #32 Bronco Mendenhall and #26 Larry Fedora.
