Tech has a potential first round pick headed into the 2018 season

Georgia Tech Athletics/Danny Karnik

MLB.com released its top 50 prospects for the 2018 MLB Draft. Georgia Tech catcher Joey Bart was listed as the 18th overall prospect and top catcher in the rankings. In his first two years at tech, Bart is hitting .297 with 14 HR - 13 last season - and 74 RBI.

Bart will lead a Yellow Jackets baseball team in 2018 looking to make it back to the NCAA Tournament, having missed out two of the last three seasons.

Tech travels to Spartanburg, S.C. tonight to take on the Wofford Terriers. The Jackets are looking to right the ship as they are coming off two straight losses to Grambling State and Tennessee.

Wofford is no slouch. Tech won this matchup by just four points last year and playing on the road will not make it any easier.

Tip-off is at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.
