After receiving impermissible benefits, the NCAA ruled on the suspensions of Tadric Jackson and Josh Okogie.

Jackson will serve a three-game suspension while Okogie will sit out six games. All things considered, this is pretty good news for Georgia Tech fans, as both players will be back for pivotal non-conference games against Tennessee and Georgia.

In other basketball news, center Ben Lammers was one of 50 college basketball players named to the preseason watch list for the John R. Wooden Award. Lammers began the season with 24 points and 10 rebounds in Tech’s first game against UCLA.

Mark Price, John Salley, Kenny Anderson and Dennis Scott have all been finalists for the Wooden Award, though no Georgia Tech player has ever won it.
