You guys know they’re not blood related, right? Those who follow my writings and other postings know that I have a tendency to bag on Georgia Tech’s defense. It’s a pretty regular occurrence. My Timehop tells me it’s essentially been a constant since 2008. But, you know, it’s not all bad. There are good things, like Bruce Jordan-Swilling, adopted son of hall of fame linebacker Pat Swilling.
I only point out BJS is adopted because, you know, he doesn’t actually carry any of Pat’s legendary genes. His talent was far from guaranteed. But his work speaks for itself - we already know he’s good. Damn good. It’s going to be a lot of fun watching him develop over the next couple of years.
We’ll fight anyone, anywhere. Remember when Tech wasn’t going to try to schedule a new twelfth game after the game against UCF got canned? Well, the ACC title game is pretty much out of the picture now, so that search is back on. Georgia State is no longer available, as they have a Sun Belt contest against Idaho, but Hawaii, UTSA, and Houston are all candidates. If you ask me, they should send the team to Hawaii. Georgia Tech football has already cost me enough sleep this season; the least it could do is kick off at 11:59pm Eastern Time so I can fall asleep right after.
Techmo Bowl. Techmo Bowl! TECHMO BOWLLLLLLLLLLL!
