Technical Tidbits 10/4: The Golden Rule

Todd Stansbury: color picker.

NCAA Football: Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech Jason Getz-USA TODAY Sports

Todd Stansbury says he is close to picking Georgia Tech’s new shade of gold.

Tech is working in conjunction with soon-to-be apparel provider Adidas to find the color Adidas will use when producing all of Georgia Tech’s new uniforms and apparel. Having everything one color, much less one shade of gold, has been a particular problem for Georgia Tech in recent years which Adidas looks to solve.

Stansbury said he and Adidas began with more than 30 variations of gold but they are now down to just four. Fans should be happy when the new color is revealed and is streamlined through Tech’s uniforms and apparel.

Former Georgia Tech linebacker PJ Davis was added to the practice squad of the BC Lions of the CFL.

Davis started three seasons at Georgia Tech and signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars an an undrafted free agent in April before being cut during training camp.
