Tuesday night, 6’6” small forward Khalid Moore decided to end his recruitment and commit to Josh Pastner and the Yellow Jackets. His commitment comes on the heels of an official visit to Atlanta last week.
On the court, Moore is a lengthy, athletic wing that can get to the basket, but also has a nice jumper. Moore picked the Jackets over hometown Seton Hall, but also had reported offers from Syracuse, Miami, Virginia, and VCU just to name a few. Moore needs to become more consistent with his jumper and add some strength, but when he does that he has the potential to become a strong ACC player.
Before Moore steps on campus, he will already have a few connections with the Yellow Jackets. First, he played for the same AAU program as freshman point guard Jose Alvarado. While they did not play together much, they certainly know each other. Based on the video below, I think it’s safe to say the connection between them could be one to watch for years. Additionally, Moore attends Archbishop Molloy, former high school of GT legend Kenny Anderson. With the commitment of Moore, it is clear that Josh Pastner is really looking to reignite the NYC pipeline that Bobby Cremins held for years.
Welcome to the flats Khalid!
I would like to say thank you to all the schools that have offered and recruited me , But I have chosen a school that's a best fit for me. I am beyond blessed and happy to announce that I will be committing to Georgia Tech. I want to thank all my family and friends that have supported and pushed me to be where I am now and this is where I decided the next chapter will begin ❤️
