Former Georgia Tech basketball star Marcus Georges-Hunt will begin the 2017-18 NBA season as a member of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Georges-Hunt was extended an invitation to training camp as a bit of a long shot prospect, but obviously made the most of the opportunity. Georges-Hunt appeared in five games for the Orlando Magic last season, though he played primarily in the D-League - now known as the G League.

Sports Illustrated released its projections for the top 100 scorers in college basketball for the upcoming season. Georgia Tech had two players appear on the list, with Josh Okogie at #19 and Ben Lammers at #99.

Okogie averaged 16.1 points per game last season while Lammers tallied 14.2 PPG. The duo looks to lead Tech to its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2010 in Josh Pastner’s second year.
