With only 12 days until National Signing Day, the recruiting rumor mill is in full swing. News is continually coming in from every corner for every school, so let’s take a look at the news pertaining to Georgia Tech.
Georgia Tech linebacker commit and U.S. Army All-American Bruce Jordan-Swilling announced on Twitter Thursday that he would not be taking visits to any other schools. Bruce and Tre Swilling were supposed to visit USC this weekend, but that appears to have been called off and the brothers are solidly committed to the Yellow Jackets.
Received An Offer From GA Tech pic.twitter.com/ZMtqyYut98— Avery 2-Time Showell (@Fraydo_) January 18, 2017
Georgia Tech extended an offer to defensive back Avery Showell. Showell was on The Flats with a slew of other visitors last weekend, and could join a good class of DB talent for the Jackets.
Rivals ranked Tech commit Joseph Bulovas as the top kicker in the 2017 class in their final position rankings. This is great news for the Yellow Jackets, with the program’s all-time scoring leader, Harrison Butker, having completed his final season. Bulovas hit a pair of field goals in the U.S. Army All-American Game, one from 49 yards - and he has more range than that.
We’ll see what news comes out of this weekend, when Tech will have another group of official visitors will be in Atlanta.
Have a good weekend!
