Technical Tidbits 9/23: So About Last Night...

Georgia Tech hired a new AD yesterday. That was fun.

So, last night at 7:30 Georgia Tech was supposed to have played a football game. And I guess technically that happened. But my goodness - that was one of the worst performances the Yellow Jackets have had offensively under Paul Johnson. The defense didn’t exactly help, either. And it resulted in a 26-7 victory for Clemson. It was not an enjoyable time. And that’s about all I have to say on that matter.

Actually, just one thing - how in the world do you get an interception and actually turn it into points for the other team??? Ugh.

If y’all want, we can have a group therapy session in the comments. I think we could all use it.

In other news, Georgia Tech announced Todd Stansbury as its new athletic director yesterday, in a move that seems pretty universally well-regarded. Stansbury played linebacker at Tech under Bill Curry in the early ‘80s. He worked as an assistant AD at Georgia Tech before serving as athletic director at East Tennessee State, UCF and Oregon State. Stansbury seems to be a good guy and a pretty good hire for AD. We’ll see how he fares at his alma mater.

Let’s all do our best to put last night behind us and enjoy the weekend. Happy Friday!
