Georgia Tech Recruiting Roundup 8/31

New, comments

Recruiting has gotten much better for the Yellow Jackets as we start the season.

We’ve almost made it. Just three more days until Georgia Tech plays a football game. With that being the case, the Roundup will now be on Wednesdays during the season.

Obviously the commitments of Tre Swilling and Bruce Jordan-Swilling are the biggest recruiting news for the Yellow Jackets in this entire class. Getting those guys was fantastic. Not only for their obvious on-field ability, but for the fact they’re now actively recruiting more elite talent to join them on The Flats.

And it seems to be working.

That tweet is from Ben Hutch, a three-star DT according to the 247Sports Composite (0.8478), who has other offers from Louisville, Tennessee and Texas A&M.

Defensive tackle is a position that Georgia Tech looks to address with some of the remaining spots in this recruiting class.

The 2017 class went from a disaster to quite respectable over the course of several weeks, and hopefully the Tech coaching staff is able to continue this recent roll with the help of the Swilling brothers.

We’ll see what happens and keep you updated as the season rolls along.

Football is almost back! Have a great Wednesday.
