Georgia Tech Recruiting: OL Michael Minihan is Commitment #9

Georgia Tech secured its ninth commitment in the 2017 class today from OL Michael Minihan.

Minihan is a three-star guard from the St. Louis School in Honolulu, Hawaii. He stands at 6’3”, weighs in around 285 pounds, and chose Georgia Tech over offers from Air Force, Army, Idaho, San Jose State and UNLV. Minihan’s commitment came only a few days after being offered by the Yellow Jackets.

This is the fourth offensive lineman in the 2017 class that now includes nine players. He’s the third commitment in the last 10 days, all of which have been offensive linemen. We saw last season just how critical a good offensive line is, and the coaching staff seems to be stockpiling players on the offensive front in this class. Minihan’s highlights from his junior season show encouraging signs in both run blocking and pass protection.

Minihan is rated a two-star recruit by Rivals (5.4) and a three-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite (0.8265).
