Now that Georgia Tech has picked up a handful of commitments (as I was writing this, Tech picked up yet another one from Jaytlin Askew) the news coming from the recruiting trail looks more like what you’d expect at this point in the year - or at least feels like it. Much, if not all, of the focus this week seems to have been placed on the defensive line. Here are the latest offers from the Jackets:
TK Chimedza, DT, 6’3”, 270 pounds
Chimedza is a 2018 four-star DT from the 21st-century football factory IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. He only has eight offers currently, but they are impressive ones, including Florida State, Missouri and Georgia.

Chris Whittaker, DE, 6’4”, 246 pounds
Whittaker is a fast-rising defensive end in the 2017 class from Hollywood, Fla. He has a big frame and great agility and quickness. He has a slew of impressive offers, most notably from Notre Dame, South Carolina and Tennessee.

Austin Smith, DE, 6’4”, 270 pounds
Smith is a 2018 defensive end from McDonough, Ga. The Jackets were only the third team to offer Smith, with the other two being UNC and Tulane.
